The brick and pottery craft village in Vĩnh Long, which has existed for over 100 years, is known as the ‘Red Kingdom’ of Vĩnh Long

Its most prosperous period was during the 1980s–1990s, with over 3,000 kilns operating day and night, mainly along the Thầy Cai Canal and Cổ Chiên River, producing bricks and pottery for both domestic use and export abroad

Vĩnh Long bricks and pottery are not only high in quality and diverse in design, but also feature the distinctive "pinkish" color derived from the alluvial soil of the Mekong River Delta

Nowadays, this traditional craft is no longer widely practiced due to various external factors. However, the ‘Red Kingdom’ still retains its ancient charm, with thousands of old brick kilns preserved and pottery kilns maintained to uphold the glorious heritage of Vĩnh Long’s red bricks and pottery.

Come and experience the beauty of the Red Kingdom for yourself!
