After nearly 10 years of formation and development, the Tam Hiep tour by Ut Trinh Ben Tre has grown significantly, bringing together many local people on the islet to work together in tourism.

“Community-based tourism” sounds a bit too grand—Ut doesn’t dare to claim it. But with the trust of neighbors and local people, everyone comes together to welcome guests, share stories about this islet homeland with visitors from around the world, preserve local culture, and work hand in hand to develop the local economy right here in their hometown.
